Cottonwood Valley Farm — where tradition meets sustainability, and family comes first. Founded in 1855, our farm has been a cornerstone of the land and community in Lyon County, Kansas for over six generations. Today, Matt Fowler, the farm’s current steward, continues the legacy of his ancestors by growing fresh, local produce while staying true to the values that have guided the farm for over a century and a half.

As a sixth-generation farmer, Matt is deeply influenced by his father, Stan, who has been a hands-on mentor and invaluable partner in day-to-day operations. Together, they work to maintain the rich history of the land while embracing responsible, sustainable farming practices that benefit both the environment and the community.

At Cottonwood Valley Farm, family isn’t just a part of our story—it’s the heart of it. Matt’s wife, Madeline, and their daughter, Kennedy, are central to the farm’s future, ensuring that each season is filled with passion, love, and hard work. With every harvest, we’re reminded of the importance of family, not just in our personal lives, but in how we care for the land entrusted to us.

We focus on growing high-quality, locally sourced produce for the Lyon County area. By implementing responsible agricultural practices, we strive to offer healthy, fresh options while preserving the land for future generations. From seed to table, we are committed to cultivating a strong sense of community and sustainability, one harvest at a time.

Thank you for supporting our farm, our family, and the future of agriculture in Kansas.
